The conference will be held at the Galaxy Macau Hotel - a world class resort located on the Cotai Strip and closely linked with the Macau University of Science and Technology. Having been awarded The Michelin Guide HK Macau “Top Class Comfort” Hotel for 2017, the Galaxy Macau Hotel offers first class conference and function facilities with stunning views of the city and water landscapes.

The hotel has 1,500 contemporary designed rooms, which will be reasonably priced for all PLS 2017 attendees. In addition, the hotel will also provide attendees with airport, ferry or border gate transport as needed. Further details will be provided in due course.

There are many attractions within the hotel, including an outdoor heated swimming pool, the Fortune Diamond display in the main hotel lobby, the Wishing Crystals display in the second lobby, and a wave pool and artificial beach at the Grand Resort Deck. This latter location will be where our gala dinner (with entertainment) will be held. There is also a 3D cinema (UA Galaxy Cinemas) where different shows are staged. In addition, hundreds of restaurants and shopping stores are to be found in and around the hotel.

The hotel offers discounts for participants of PLS' 17 (1 USD≈ 8 MOP/HKD). Here is the hotel booking link:

Getting to the Galaxy Macau Hotel from the Macau University of Science and Technology is a 15 minute walk.

Local places of interest include the Taipa Houses-Museum, the Carmo Church, the Civil Affairs Registry and two beautiful gardens that incorporate the “Eight Views of Macao”. Getting to these locations requires a walk by moving walkway.

In addition, located nearby are wetlands where many black-faced spoonbills live – a rather unique finding in the middle of a business center!

The Tai Pa Village is also only 10 minutes walk from the hotel - located in the south of the island, the historical part of Taipa is best preserved in this village. With a tidy sprawl of traditional Chinese shops and some excellent restaurants, the village is punctuated by colonial villas, churches and temples (Lonelyplanet).
